KINGSTON Jamaica. - (July 18, 2002) - 2000 San Diego USATF Athlete of the Year Monique Henderson won her second World Junior 400 meter championship with a 51.10 seasonal best.
The Junior Division is restricted to athletes age 19 and under as of December 31, 2002.
Henderson's victory over teammate Sanya Richards made a strong claim for her tenth consecutive San Diego USATF Junior award.
Henderson, a four-time California High School Champion at 400m, has just completed her freshman year at UCLA.
